The statistics of child abuse (especially towards young girls) human trafficking, malnutrition and hunger, poverty, orphaned children and violence against women are alarming.

Through our programs, we at Iladai Charities are committed to our causes. In the past, we have organised series of seminars and workshops to empower women and introduce them to various vocational skills. We have given out equipment such as sewing machines hairdryers and other small business set up kits. We have also made financial donations to women already in small businesses and to those who want to start their own small business such as trading and marketing.

Prior to having our own orphanage, we visited various orphanages where we made clothing, food and cash donations.

We have made donations of chairs and mattresses to children wards in hospitals and paid medical bills for patients discharged but not released from hospitals because they could not pay their medical bills.
